So, it's been pretty quiet on this blog and it might continue to be, and for that I'm sorry but I have a decent excuse (of which more soon). First, though, everyone should watch John Green's latest video, make a fist, scream "hell yeah!" and do exactly what he says.
So, why am I temporarily blogging less? Well, for one, its been extremely busy here. Flux is growing and I've been spending a lot of time on a super-duper exciting new project that will be official very soon. Even more important than that, though, as some of you already know, my wife and I are having a baby in a few days/a week/a couple weeks (why can't they be more precise!?). So, instead of focusing all of my energies on the teenage condition, I've lately been a student of the infant condition (I prefer to think of it as extreme pre-adolescence). Really, ask me anything about the milk-ejection reflex. I'm all over it.
Anyway, that's the story.

As for the preciseness of babies. Yeah - they are totally irresponsible and unthoughtful like that. Hope all goes well!

As someone who has already hatched two future YA fiction readers, let me recommend that you begin to psychologically prepare yourself for that good ol' milk ejection reflex now.
Oh, and I'd write a leave of absence note to your mattress . . . you won't be seeing sleep for a long time (cackles).

I know you are probably awash in advice, but here's one more tip: after baby's feeding, do not hold baby on shoulder so s/he is directly facing the dude with long curly hair in the coffee shop booth directly behind you. :0
Oooo...Congrats. New babies are so fun, especially when you bring them home and realize that it's up to you to feed, change and overall care for them. lol.
One piece of advice, even though holding the baby up in the air and cooing at it seems like a good idea, ALWAYS keep your mouth shut when you do it. ALWAYS!
Congratulations, Andrew! I hadn't heard (I haven't been blogging or reading blogs as much either.) Our baby girl is due in May!
