Congratulations are in order for Christine Kole MacLean. How It's Done won an Independent Publishers' Book Award (an "IPPY," to the cognescenti). She took the gold medal for YA fiction. Simone Elkeles also got in on the action, taking a silver medal for her How to Ruin a Summer Vacation in multicultural children's fiction.
