Josie Bloss marked the release of her new novel in a way that's completely novel (sorry) to me. Yep, she got a tattoo. This got me thinking, has anyone else done something interesting to personally commemorate a first novel?
When we were picking a logo for Flux a few years ago, I said it had to be cool enough for me to get it tattoed somewhere, but I only got as far as the Sharpie prototype.

My tattoo now thinks it's famous.
And I vote that you go for a Flux tattoo. You could put it on your foot, too!
It's lovely, Josie.
I've been waiting for the ISBN so I can get the long-planned "first ISBN tattoo."
That's so cool! I think it's an awesome way to remember things...I don't know if I could ever do it though. So afraid of needles. LOL

Josie's tatoo is cute. And famous. I think the knuckles would hurt like hell, and even if it didn't, that might be one you'd regret. I got Tolkien's design of JRRT inked on my arm because, after 30 years, I'm still not sick of him.
Amy, you should do the bar code instead!
My releases tend to be celebrated with Champagne toasts. But then, so do my Mondays. :)
Cute tattoo, Josie! I'm too much of a wimp to celebrate that way. I can't really remember how I celebrated my first book but I'm pretty sure it involved changing a dirty diaper. I know, soooo exciting.
